LEADERSHIP
bullet DGCX commenced trading in November 2005 as the regions first commodity derivatives exchange and has become today, the leading derivatives exchange in the Middle East.
bullet It currently trades in U.S. Dollar-denominated futures contracts in Precious metals, Energy and Currency Futures Contracts. DGCX also trades option contracts in gold futures and Indian rupee futures.
bullet DGCX provides Guaranteed settlement and reduced counterparty risk provided by Dubai Commodities Clearing Corporation (DCCC), a subsidiary 100% owned by DGCX
   
OPERATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
bullet Total volumes crossed 9.5 million contracts (36% growth Y-o-Y) valued at US$ 445 billion since inception as on CM October 2011
bullet 1 million mark crossed in 91 trading days in May 12, 2011, the earliest it has surpassed this milestone in any year since launch. DGCX recorded the highest ever monthly volume of over half a million contracts in August 2011
bullet Euro futures reached its highest ever monthly volume of 96,202 contracts valued at $6.87 billion in August DGCX achieved a record daily value of US$ 1.93 billion on August 4, 2011.
bullet Indian Rupee futures recorded the highest ever monthly volume of 427,703 contracts in September DGCX achieved a record daily volume of 35,996 contracts on September 22, 2011, valued at US$ 1.5 billion. DGCX launched the Indian Rupee Options Contract on September 26
bullet October 18, 2011, DGCX surpasses the three million contracts mark for the first time since inception 2011YTD volume is up 105 % from 2010 with 3.2 million contracts as on October 31, 2011
